We at Santa’s Farm love to see casual photos of our wonderful guests shot in our scenic location, and we appreciate being tagged on social media.  Cell phone photos are always welcome.  However, the large amount of requests for staged photo shoots on our farm, both by professional photographers and by families wishing to get a scenic Christmas card photo, engagement photos, or maternity shots, has created the need for us to put in place strict photography policies and options.  Without such policies, staged photos cause congestion in busy locations and negatively impact the experience of all paying guests.  Anyone violating these policies in the judgement of our management team may be asked to leave the farm immediately without a refund.  We appreciate the hundreds of professional and amateur photographers who abide by our policies, and we will not allow any exceptions to our policies out of ignorance or willful disregard.

Regardless of whether the person with the camera is considered a “professional photographer” or is accepting compensation for the photos, any photos staged in one location for more than 30 seconds and/or including props (such as tree decorations, signs, and blankets), wardrobe changes, or photography equipment (including tripods, reflectors, lights and camera bags with extra lenses) are considered a photo shoot and require the proper pass as described below.  The amount of daily passes is limited.

Photography Pass – The pass is purchased by the person holding the camera to take photos in the pumpkin patch or Christmas tree field.  Times are a one hour block or discounted three hour period.  Weekend and Peak Day passes are $45/hr or 3 hours for $100, and non-peak Weekday passes are $20/hr or 3 hours for $50.   Passes must be purchased in advance on the ticket site.

Number of passes limited per entry time; time begins upon entry check-in

Passes become available when ticket sales open for that date.

To increase time, purchase an additional pass at the next entry time.

Passes may not be available on all dates and at all entry times.

Guests participating in the shoot must purchase admission for the same date and entry time.

The Photo Pass allows the holder to bring additional photography equipment and small props onto the farm for shots in the pumpkins or trees.  Props and equipment are limited to what may be carried through the gate in one trip.  Santa or other costumed characters are not permitted.  Since we will be open to the public, pumpkins may not be moved and the movement of other guests to keep them out of your shot may not be restricted.  Buildings and areas of the farm not open to guests are off limits for photo shoots.  All guests must be out of the tree field 30 minutes prior to closing time or prior to the time of sunset, whichever is earlier.  Admission for each client must be purchased in advance online to guarantee entry.   Keep the pass visible at all times, as our staff will circulate to check for it.  The photographer is responsible for directing the clients to his/her location.
