Photography Policies

Professional Photography is not permitted on the farm during regular hours of operation.  Props, wardrobe changes, photography equipment including tripods, reflectors, and camera bags may not be brought onto the farm by any guests during regular hours of operation, with the following exceptions:

Family Photo Shoot Days –  Monday through Friday only, November 27 through December 22 only

Weekdays beginning on November 27, families may visit the farm during regular Hours of Operation and pay the applicable Admission Pricing plus $5  for a Photography Pass.  This pass will allow you to bring additional photography equipment and props onto the farm, and set up for a photo shoot in the trees.  The pass is for the family, and each family participating will purchase the pass.  If a professional photographer attends with the family, she may pay the admission for that day and join the family.  Keep the pass visible at all times, as our staff will ask to see it.  Props and equipment are limited to what may be carried through the gate in one trip.  All guests will be asked to exit the tree field 15 minutes before closing time or at dusk, whichever is earlier.

Field Trips

Field Trips on the Farm!

Three types of field trips are available to meet any group’s needs.

  • Guided Field Trips:  Best for Pre-K through 3rd grade classes with a minimum of 15 children per class.  The number of chaperones is limited.  Participants arrive together and pay together.  This structured visit provides teachers with a schedule of activities for their groups, so that classes can participate in all activities within the time allotted.
  • Open Field Trips:  Best for any age and any size group.  There are no limits on the number of chaperones.  This unstructured visit offers many activities ongoing with educational lessons and special activities scheduled at specific times.  Participants may arrive on their own and pay individually at the gate, making it an ideal choice for homeschooling groups and church preschools with parent-driven transportation and high parent attendance.
  • Private Field Trips:  Best for one school wishing to bring several classes at one time.  A minimum of 50 paid children admissions is required, and there is no limit on the number of paid chaperones.  Choose structured or unstructured visit.  No other schools or groups will be in attendance.  Dates are available throughout the year.
